This section is to inform you of the Atholton High School Music Department's Uniform Usage Policy.  For each uniform in which a student performs, there is a $30.00 fee, with a maximum of $60.00 per individual student and a maximum of $75 per family  These limits are designed for students involved in many music groups requiring different uniforms and for families fortunate enough to have several students in the music department at the same time.   New this year, in addition each student must purchase his/her tuxedo shirt at the time of fitting (this will allow for it to be ordered from the supplier).  The cost will be $20 for the purchase of the shirt. Students who arrive at a concert without the appropriate shirt will be charged a fee of $20.00 per concert for a borrowed uniform shirt. Uniforms are required for participation in the following groups:

 Marching Band                                 Symphonic Wind Ensemble (SWE)

Madrigals                                           Jazz Choir

Choir (Men's, Women's)                   Concert (CB)

Orchestra                                           Men' & Women's Quartets 

Color guard members buy their own uniform, each year. 

Marching Band uniforms will be fitted during Marching Band Camp.  Fitting dates and times for Concert Dress Uniforms are September 18th for students with last names beginning with A - L (7 - 9:30) and September 28 for students with last names beginning with M - Z (7 - 9:30). Sign up sheets for fitting appointments are now available in the music rooms.  Madrigal Fittings will be announced during class as will Jazz Choir fittings.  All fee are due at the time of fitting.

 Along with the fee, there comes the responsibility of the care of the uniform.  Care includes:

 Cleaning:

                        Tuxedo Trousers are dry clean only unless stated otherwise on the label

                        Skirts are to be washed gentle cycle and tumbled dry low heat.

                        Madrigals are given separate instructions when they receive their costumes.

Reimbursement for missing parts.

Reimbursement for damaged parts.

                        Never cut the fabric on a skirt or pair of trousers in order to hem them.

                        Never use staples, glue, or fusible webbing tape to hem trousers or skirts
